Zach Benson has been named to the 2023 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. The game is on Wednesday, January 25th, 2023, at the Langley Events Centre. Benson is leading the ICE in goals with 18 and in points with 44. Zach will be going in the first round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft this summer. This will event will show where he stands amongst his CHL peers. The game will have the top 40 CHL players that will be available in the draft.
The year that the Winnipeg ICE drafted Zach Benson, they finished ninth in the league. Ever since then, the ICE have been first place in the league. He is an elite talent, and it shows. He made an immediate impact on the team, racking up 53 goals and 127 points in 110 games with the ICE. Benson is also a playoff performer; in his one time in the playoffs, he scored 9 goals and 23 points in 15 games. Whoever drafts him in the upcoming draft will be getting an electric player.
